These 3 boys were so adorable. Despite the heat, which can make the best of people cranky (raises hand high.. ME ME), these boys did great. We met Saturday morning down by the river, hoping the heat would hold off til we were done. It didn’t. I discovered quickly just how many different facial expressions these boys have. They really had me cracking up at times. Once Toby informed me down by the river that he was DONE, we headed up to Stelina’s shop. OH BELOVED AIR CONDITIONING!! Knowing we still had a bit of shooting in front of us, we hung around the shop for a bit, let the kids drink a cold soda, and I got in a few shots there. Then off to the old barn, where at least we were in the shade. And the football field… where the kids were just too hot to play. I got a ton of shots, and I hope you enjoy this sneak peek!

So when I got a call from Laura and Kay, and was told that Laura Beth had won several pageants, but never looked good in pictures, I have to admit.. I was a little nervous. For one, I let the whole pageant beauty queen thing intimidate me. For those of you that have met me, you know I’m far from glamourous… far from frilly… far removed from much “girly” at all. So I worried about about what to do with Miss Laura Beth. How would I relate to her? Would conversation be stilted and awkward? Add to that was the pressure of getting a good picture of Laura Beth. Many have failed before, according to them. Could I do what they hadn’t?
So I met with Laura Beth Friday night. Let me tell you, my worries were all in vain. Laura Beth is one of the nicest, sweetest girls I’ve had the pleasure of photographing. We talked about college, kids, pageants, everything under the sun. And, she was an absolute natural in front of the camera, and I had to do very little prompting. Really this session went like I wish ALL of them went. Calm, laid back. Oh wait. There was one major downfall to this session. It was HOT. I mean REALLY HOT. I tried keeping the session as short as possible, so Laura Beth didn’t sweat all her make up off, and we didn’t perish of heat stroke. Plus her boyfriend was taking her to Dondies afterward, and since we were so close, we kept smelling their food. :D
As for Laura Beth not taking a good photograph, I just don’t see how. She’s gorgeous, and the camera loves her! Laura Beth, I hope you enjoy your sneak peek.

There’s something to be said for being young and in love. Passion fueled by love can carry a relationship a long way. But when a couple can come together, and laugh… that will carry a couple through a lifetime. And that’s what Carrie and Levi have together. There were very few moments they weren’t making each other laugh. Or making me laugh… which made it hard for me to get those laughing shots on camera. LOL I thouroughly enjoyed the time I got to spend with them Sunday night.
Hope you 2 enjoy your sneak peek!!

I don’t think I could have asked for a cuter little boy for my session last week. Carson was absolutely ADORABLE! And active! He was constantly on the move, no more where we put him to try and stop it. To have just an fraction of that energy would be wonderful. Carson was up for just about anything or anywhere we went. Unfortunately for Casandra, we did run into a snake while on one of the locations. After coming home and consulting an “expert” (HI dad!), my son determined it was a speckled king snake. But poor Casandra was too close for comfort, and watched us from afar. We finished up out at the horse barn, but by then, Carson was getting quite tired. He hung in there like a lil’ champ!!! Hope you enjoy your sneak, Casandra!

There’s just something about rolls on a baby that makes me get all gooey and maternal inside. And T definitely fit the bill. We met 1ce last week at Dondie’s to start takin’ some pictures. But unbeknownst to his mother and I, lil T was in the beginning stages of an ear infection. So he wasn’t overly thrilled with the photo session. We did manage to get a few shots in, and rescheduled the rest of the shoot. I hope you enjoy the sneak!
