I have to say it!

Can you GET more cuter than this couple??? I had SUCH fun with Brad and Leigh Sunday afternoon. I have to admit to being TOTALLY STOKED when Leigh called me to set up a session. I adore doing engagements and couple sessions. And right now they’ve been pretty few and far between. I think I was more excited than Leigh (and DEFINITELY more excited than Brad!) for the session to start.

We started out at their cabin. I just love it when someone suggests a place that is important to THEM. It just makes their pictures that much more unique to them. Afterwards we went down to Robinwood out by Wattensaw, then hit some haybales on our way back to town.

They’ve been married 3.5 years, but haven’t had any portraits taken since they were married. I figured we’d handle it much like an engagement session. It was SO interesting to see how differently a session goes when one is ANTICIPATING being married, and when one has been married for a few years. ;) I couldn’t help but laugh when I asked them to sit in a certain spot, and instead of sitting all snuggled up together (much like those about to get married would do), they sat somewhat by each other, without touching or anything. :D (Much like a married couple would do! LOL) But they ended up getting into it. :)

We had a ton of fun (or at least I did!). Leigh has such an infectious giggle, and kept me laughing the whole time. Brad, Leigh, I hope you two enjoy your sneak peek. As soon as I finish getting rid of all the mosquitos from your faces, your images will be ready to view. ;)

My session with the Goodman’s was a ton of fun. Who can’t have fun with 3 boys full of life like these 3? This session centered mainly around the youngest son, capturing the joy of childhood at it’s finest. Lil’ man H. was full of life, and most definitely full of energy!

You can tell H. has 2 brothers that dote on him, along with loving parents. And it’s easy to see why! Just look at that gorgeous smile.

I had such fun meeting Ticia and her GORGEOUS family. When they arrived at the Prairie County museum , I was greeted by the most PRECIOUS, DARLING children. And sooo sweet. They were full of smiles and just a joy to be around!

Ticia, I hope y’all enjoy your sneak peek.

Emily, senior pictures

September 24, 2009

Emily and I got to go out Wednesday night to take her senior pictures. We were going to go out to the Prairie County fair. (Notice I didn’t link to a website to the fair. This is because… well, there’s not one. lol Guess they didn’t have enough to update a website with.) We found out at the last minute (ok the night before), that the Prairie County fair would NOT have the carnival and rides this year (as far as I know White county and all the surrounding areas do). Gone were all my ideas of bright, vibrant colors. Spinning rides and lights as backgrounds. Fun cotton candy series. All gone.

But Emily was a trooper and up for anything. We had a lot of fun, and she’s definitely used to the camera. Emily, I hope you enjoy your sneak peek. :)

Laci… central Arkansas senior

September 17, 2009

I took my niece Laci out last weekend to take her senior pictures. We had a bit of an entourage with us since my other niece and nephew tagged along. Laci isn’t from Des Arc, so all the spots were pretty new to her… and we would have shot more down by the White River with the bridge reflecting off of the water. Except it started to rain. Ever since then I’ve had a desire to photograph in the rain. LOL

I’ve had a lot of fun editing these. There are many a bit on the edgier and wilder side, and I’m showcasing those a bit more. I hope they show a bit more of her personality.

Laci, I hope you enjoy your sneak!
